The Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®) designation is a professional certification for business analysis practitioners who want to be recognized for their expertise and skills in communicating with stakeholders, to design holistic business processes by identifying and analyzing opportunities for better business outcomes. With a minimum of 3750 hours of hands-on business analysis experience or structured learning, you can develop essential BA skills to provide direction to project through progressive business analysis.

CCBA® recipients are recognized for the investment they have already made in their business analysis careers. Certification is beneficial to:

  • Individuals with an ECBA™ and the required work experience hours.

  • Individuals in the Business Analysis (BA) profession without a current IIBA certification or certificate but meet the CCBA® eligibility requirements.

  • Product owners/managers.

  • Non-BA consultants.

  • Trainers.

  • Hybrid Business Analysis professionals (those with other business titles but who also perform business analysis), including but not limited to Project Managers (PMs), Testers, Quality Assurance (QA) personnel, Change Managers, and Designers.

Prerequisites:

In order to appear for the CCBA® exam, participants must have:

  • Minimum 3750 (2 to 3 years) hours of business analysis work experience aligned with the BABOK®Guide in the last seven years, including:
  • Minimum 900 hours in two of the six knowledge areas or 500 hours in four of the six knowledge areas
  • Minimum 21 hours of Professional Development in the past four years
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent
  • Two references from a career manager, client or Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) recipient
  • Signed Code of Conduct

The Exam

The CCBA® exam is of three hours duration and comprised of 130 questions. All the questions are multiple choice and scenario based. 

Examination Fee

The exam fee is $325 for IIBA members and $450 for non-members.

Q1. What happens if I am not able to clear the examination in the first attempt?

We use high learning methodologies to equip learners with the understanding of the latest market trends and boost their confidence to pass the CCBA certification exam in the very first attempt. However, if you are not able to clear the certification examination in the first attempt, we have a 100% money back guarantee for you. Q2. How do I find out the details like venue, timing related to my class?

You will receive an email containing the details related to your classroom venue and timing 5 days prior to your scheduled training date. If you have not received the email or are facing any other issue, you can drop an email with your query to support@certificationplanner.com. Out training delivery team will be there for you! 

 

Q3. How can I pay?

We accept various modes of payment ranging from Pay Pal to wire transfer. For public classes, we accept ACH, Wire Transfer, Pay Pal, Credit Card, Debit Card, Diners, Cheque, Master Card. For Corporate training, we accept Credit Cards, Cheque, Wire Transfer and PayPal, Purchase Orders. If you are paying by check, the check needs to be scanned and sent to our mailing address 5 days prior to the training date.

 

Q4. How does Instructor-Led Online Classroom work?

Our online classroom training is conducted via www.gotomeeting.com and all our classes are interactive sessions which enable participants to watch, talk and chat with the instructor and fellow participants. Our instructors are familiar with GoToMeeting and our dedicated CP champ will walk you through the platform prior to the class. We record all sessions and share downloadable videos for future reference

 

Q5. Will the recorded lessons be shared with the participants in Online training?

Yes, the recorded training is shared with the participant. The recordings are shared post-completion of the class. Participants will receive a link to download the recordings on the email address shared by them during registration.

 

Q6. Can I cancel my class? How will the reimbursement process work?

Yes, you can cancel your participation in a training session. However, the cancellation and refund are subject to the following conditions:

  • You can cancel your class by emailing us at support@certificationplanner.com
  • If you cancel before 2 weeks from the scheduled training date, a cancelation fee of 10% will be deducted and the balance amount will be refunded.
  • If you cancel within 2 weeks from the class, a 100% deduction will be made.

The refund will be made through the same mode of payment during enrolment. Refer to our Policy Page for more details.

 

Q7. For how long do I have the access to the course material if I take up Self-Study and can it be extended?

You will have access to the material for 180 days. Yes, you can extend the access duration for the course material at an additional charge. You can contact support@certificationplanner.com to find out the additional charges. The additional charge is decided based on the duration of the extension you need.

 

Q8. Is the examination fee included in the course fee?

No, the examination fee is not included in the course fee. Participant needs to pay the examination fee directly to IIBA.

 

Q9. What is the prerequisite for CCBA certification?

In order to appear for the CCBA® exam, participants must have:
